Savory Using Oyster Crackers


2 - 12 oz. bags Oyster Crackers 
1 pkg. Savory Saltine Seasoning Mix 
1 cup Canola Oil 
1 Zip top plastic bag (2-gallon size) 

Add contents of seasoning package to Canola Oil in a 2-gallon zip top bag and mix 
well. Add both bags of Oyster Crackers. Seal bag with lots of air in it. Toss crackers in 
bag every 10-15 minutes and repeat for one hour to evenly coat crackers. Let 
crackers rest at least four hours or overnight for best taste. 




Savory Cheese Roll

This delicious cheese ball can be made quickly for any party.


2- 8oz. Softened cream cheese

3-cups Shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1-tsp. Worcestershire sauce

1-pkg. Original Savory Seasoning

1 Dash of Tabasco sauce (optional)


Mix cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce, Original Savory Seasoning, Tabasco and

blend well.

Form a log or a ball. Coat with chopped pecans or almonds, and parsley.

Cover and chill for 1-hour or more before serving.



Tex-Mex Chicken Salad

½ cup Light sour cream 
2-Tbs Thick and chunky salsa 
2 Tbs Original Savory Seasoning 
1 ½ cups Chopped cooked chicken 
1 cup Frozen corn-thawed 
¼ cup Pitted sliced black olives-sliced 
1-sleeve Savory Saltines (30-40 crackers)
Mix sour cream, salsa and Savory Saltine Seasoning in a medium bowl. 
Add chicken, corn and olives; mix lightly. 
Cover and refrigerate until chilled. Serve with Savory Saltine Crackers. 
Tip: Purchased rotisserie chicken makes this chicken salad quick and easy.

Super Savory Dip

1-pkg Original Savory Saltine Seasoning 
1-8oz pkg. Sour cream 
3-Tbs. Mayo 

Mix ingredients in a medium bowl. 
Cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving. 
Serves 10. 

Savory Baked Chicken

4-6 Boneless, skinless chicken breasts or 6-8 boneless chicken thighs 
 Garlic salt and black pepper-to taste 
30-40 Savory Saltine Crackers-crumbled 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 
Rinse chicken and pat dry. Place chicken pieces as close as possible in a small Pyrex 
(7x11) baking dish. Season with garlic salt and black pepper. 
Top with 30-40 crushed Savory Saltine Crackers. 
Bake 25-30 minutes or until juices run clear. Serves 4. 

 Amazing Savory Burgers

1½ -2 lbs Lean ground beef 
1 pkg. Savory Saltine Seasoning Mix 
1 cup Dry bread crumbs (may use seasoned ones) 
1 Small yellow onion, peeled and chopped 
1 tsp. Each of salt and black pepper, or to taste 
6 Sesame buns, lightly toasted 

Dressings: Lettuce, sliced tomatoes, sliced red onion, and cheese (optional) 

Preheat grill or broiler. 
Combine above ingredients, except buns, in a large bowl and mix well. 
Shape into 6 patties and grill. Top with mayo, mustard and dressings. Serves 6. 

Cracker Crusted Baked Tilapia


2-4 Tilapia Fish Fillets 

3 tablespoons melted butter

Savory Crackers – approx. 30

Heat oven to 400°.   Lightly grease a large shallow baking dish.

Crush the Savory crackers in a zip top bag until they look like coarse breadcrumbs.  Mix the melted butter and cracker crumbs together in a bowl. 

Arrange fish on the baking pan. Sprinkle the crumb mixture over the tilapia fillets.  Pack the crumb mixture over the top and sides of the fish fillets. 

Place in the oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily. (Thin fillets may take less time, very thick fillets may take longer.)

Recipe Varieties:

Substitute tilapia for your favorite white fish.  Also works great on chicken, but cooking time will increase. 

Crumb coating can be adapted by adding your favorite herbs. 

More crackers and butter mixture can be used for thicker coating.

For a more breaded crust:  Beat an egg and dip fish in egg before topping with cracker crumb mixture.
